...IS A FULLY COVED SYSTEM
Together with accessories supplied by well renommated Amokabel partners, our system is fully covered without any stripping of the insulation required. This not only drastically reduces installation time compared to older designs but it also saves the lives of thousands of birds and animals otherwise electrocuted when in contact with stripped conductor. Last but not least, it prevents any water from getting inside the stranded conductor which effectively eliminates the risk of conductor corrosion.
...HAS LOW WEIGHT, LOW SAG, LOW VIBRATION
Amokabel covered conductors uses latest compound technology and optimal thickness of covering layers that reduces conductor weight, yet being extremely rigid. Lower weight means less sag and lower tension force which in turn reduces vibration and increases conductor life time.
In addition, the use of round non-compacted wires reduces vibrations even further ensuring the longest life time of covered conductors in the market.

With the advances in materials technology used in Amokabel’s Covered Conductor, the Covered Conductor is extremely easy to install. Installation requirements and works practices for Covered Conductor are almost identical to the requirements for stringing new or replacement bare conductor.
The actual time and planning required to install Covered Conductor is also almost identical to that of bare conductor, making the cost of restringing with Covered Conductor only 10-15% higher than keeping bare conductor.
Installation crews can utilize the same equipment as for bare conductor. Typically a recovery unit, cable trailer with a braking system, suitable rollers and appropriately rated hauling and straining equipment are required to haul, string and strain Amokabel Covered Conductor.
